Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2025

Foxhound Consulting Corp. (“we”, “us”, or “our”) built the Big2 Tracker app to help players record and analyze scores for the Big2 card game. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your information. This policy explains how Big2 Tracker handles data.

1. Information We Collect

  • Game data (required for sync): player names (as entered by you), games, rounds, scores, per-game settings (e.g., multipliers), and lightweight identifiers (e.g., a game code) are transmitted to and stored on our servers at api.foxhoundconsulting.ca so your devices and invited followers stay in sync.
  • Device and request metadata: we collect standard technical details such as IP address, device type, app version, timestamps, and request paths. We use this for security (abuse/fraud prevention), reliability, and debugging.
  • Local storage: some data may also be cached on your device to improve performance.

2. How We Use Data

  • Provide and improve app functionality (e.g., game sharing, stats, reliability).
  • Monitor and safeguard the service (e.g., detect abuse, debug issues).
  • We do not sell your data and we do not use third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking.

3. Security

All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS. Access to server logs and databases is restricted. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we strive to use industry-standard safeguards.

4. Data Retention

Game data created through Big2 Tracker is securely stored on our servers to support multiplayer syncing and game history. This data is retained even if a player unfollows a game or deletes the app, so other participants can still view the shared record. The information stored consists only of game-related content (such as player names entered by users, scores, and round details) and limited technical data (like IP addresses in server logs).

We do not store contact details, device identifiers linked to individuals, or any other personally identifying information. Server logs containing IP addresses and technical metadata are kept for security and operational integrity. They may be removed upon specific request.

5. Your Choices

Within the Big2 Tracker app, you can manage your local view of game data by unfollowing games you no longer wish to see. These actions will prevent it from appearing on your device, but the shared game record will continue to exist on our servers so that other participants can still access their results.

If you would like a specific game record or related server-stored data removed entirely, you can contact us by email and include the game code or identifying details so we can locate and delete it. Requests can be sent to privacy@foxhoundconsulting.ca.

Because Big2 Tracker does not collect personal profiles or login credentials, deleting a game or requesting its removal is the only form of data deletion typically needed.

6. Children’s Privacy

Big2 Tracker is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data, please contact us for removal.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the latest version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.
